What is Being a Dad is Hard as F*ck?

First and foremost, it’s a weekly essay about how fucking hard it is to be a dad. Because most of the literature aimed at fathers is either self-help, how-to, or (mostly bad) humor, the DADSPACE is sorely lacking in earnest and honest conversations about and around fatherhood. If moms can have it, why can’t we? And as a generation of fathers who are aiming to raise a generation of emotionally healthy children, these kinds of conversations are essential.

I also have a semi-regular feature called Dad Talks, in which I ask different dads I admire questions about their approach to fatherhood. And you won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox.

Either way, you’ll have full access to the archive of nearly 100 posts (and growing). Even more if you upgrade to a paid subscription.

Why Upgrade to a Paid Subscription?

Well, because 100% of the money is going to a great cause; the Center for Pregnancy Justice, who defend the civil and human rights of pregnant people, focusing on those most likely to be targeted for investigation, arrest, detention, or family separation — poor people, people of color, and people who use drugs.

You can learn more about their cause HERE.

Also, over the course of 2024, you’ll get a longform essay I wrote about my experiences during my wife’s first pregnancy, about my fears and anxieties, my hopes and expectations, and a million, billion, trillion other things I thought over those nine (and then some) months.
