We just got back from two weeks in the UK with the kids. I hope they are old enough to remember at least glimpses of what they saw. Most of the time, I tell my wife they would be just as happy in the backyard swing, playing on the lawn, or swimming in a pool at any random hotel. I had the occasion to spend some time sans family with friends at a Montana music festival last weekend. I'm sure that Billy Strings was something other than what they would have enjoyed while I had a great night. Watching Billy on the guitar was amazing; missing my wife and kids was just part of the package.

Yeah man, we've been to Europe three times since our son was born, twice with our daughter, too. They're likely not to remember any of it, which Emily and I have wrestled with (especially considering the cost!) but what they are doing is learning how to travel, which is so important. Glad to hear you got some you time, though! That's a sharp looking bike you got

Two thumbs up on learning to travel. They're champs at planes, trains, busses, cabs, Ubers, and cruise ships... only a slight meltdown when the Uber to Heathrow took 2 hours in traffic. Thanks for the bike comment. I had to make a mental effort to get it ready this summer, and I'm glad I did. Do what you love, and let your kids see it.
