Fantastic article! I know how you feel. You work hard to leave where you're from but then find yourself reminiscing about it as you age. I'm from northern Utah but have lived in Athens, GA for 10 years. Utah is a place my kids visit but identify Georgia as their home. I doubt they'll love Utah like I do, and I doubt I'll love Georgia like they do.
This has been a lifelong question for me, as someone who was always asked “where are you from? No, where are you really from?” And then proceeded to move around a lot as an adult. I often say that I wish I could live my whole life in all the places I love so that I could really belong to each of them instead of not wholly to any of them.
