My son is 6. He practically has a job, feeds himself, draws, watches tv. It’s like having the coolest dude ever living in the house. Except for the occasional behavior correcting we all have to do as dads. That all comes to an end in may though, when my daughter enters the world. My wife and I will start over, can’t remember what diapers look like, but im sure all the new born baby knowledge will come right back. The best part…my son is not ready for what’s about to happen 😂

It comes right back! Trust me. I had the same feelings when our daughter was on the way, though our gap is much smaller than yours. Still, you don't forget those things!

Yeah, buddy... 4-year-old son and twin 3-year-old girls... It has been a heavy lift, but every day is full of new accomplishments and increased independence.

As a dad to two toddlers, folks tell me often it’ll get easier, so it’s nice to get an idea of what that actually looks like (or might)! Thanks for the hope and inspiration. My son (3) is non-verbal and on the autism spectrum, so independence may take a bit longer, but it’s awesome watching him and his sister (2) slowly but surely be able to express their needs (without crying) and occupy themselves with a toy or coloring book. Anyway, thanks again for supplying some hope for us tired dads and moms 🤣

Ah man, yeah I see it here and there all the time. This was just a really crystal-clear view. Even little things like the playground with my daughter (2) and being able to give her more freedom, knowing she won't fuck herself up <too> bad, it's just a view of what's to come. Of course, we'll miss these times, no doubt. Thanks for reading along!

Sounds nice. I'm glad you soaked up that moment. They don't happen often.
