Amen.

My kids are 18 and 12. I don't know how I could ever take it out on them when they're just as distraught as I am. Really feel like there is no coming back from this. Trying to take one step at a time here...

Yeah man, that's gotta be tough ages. We're lucky in that our kids have no idea what's happening. I mean, they know what's going on but there's no way they can understand the stakes. And so, as far as they're concerned, there's nothing bothering dad today!

Eight years ago, my eldest was 10 and starting to really understand what was going on. He has autism, and was profoundly disturbed when he saw the clip of Trump mocking Serge Kovaleski, the reporter with arthrogryposis. I remember how confused my kid was that anyone could vote for a man who would openly make fun of the disabled.

Hard lessons about the true qualities of some people. I guess we all have to learn them eventually.
