On a day when our hearts are hurting, this resonates on so, so many levels.

This is a very real conversation many families are having, mine included. We are actually considering Egypt. For all of the "stories" being put on the tv about these places, when actually visiting yourself, you'll find it's filled with more fabrication and fear. It's so sad that our safety net and our once called home is being slowly ripped out from under us now as parents, a reality I could have never imagined. Praying for everyone's success and safety in finding a place for our babies to grow and continue to be awesome! As awesome is the only way to be as a kiddo! :)

Michael, my wife and I have started having this same conversation.

We never planned to have kids, but we now have our little boy who turns 2 next month. He is the love of my life, my absolute everything, and because I know I'd do anything to protect him, I don't see how we can not move out of this country.

I know that I can't send him to school here in America. There's no way in hell. And things are only going to get worse, since the clowns in charge of this country are allowing it to become the dystopian nightmare it has become. So, we really feel like we have no other choice.

So, I identify with the struggle you guys are facing too. I have to say that it felt good to see your post here about this topic, because immediately I felt less alone, so I wanted to reach out and share with you and to let you know that you're not alone in this either.

The thought occurred to me today how strange and terrible it is that only a couple of generations ago, people were moving from all over the world to America in the hopes of giving their kids a better chance at life, and now here so many of us are today, leaving America for the very same reason.

I know. It bums me out so deeply because of how much I love this country and being from it. That said, that love is more for the ideal than the current product.

And to your point that you "immediately felt less alone," man, thank you for saying that. That is 100% the reason I write this newsletter. So really, thank you.

I’m glad I commented and that we are having this conversation, Michael. I totally know what you mean about the love for the country being more the ideal than the current product. I know America was never perfect, far from it, but man...40 years ago when I was the age of the children who were just killed, something like a school shooting was literally unthinkable. Inconceivable. I have great nostalgia for America back when that was the case. Especially now that I’m a parent.

Our kids deserve to grow up in a world free of fear inasmuch as possible, and particularly when it comes to going to school. The fact that children have to do active shooter drills is a glaring indictment on the failure of adults who were supposed to protect them but who’ve let these crooked politicians pursue their crooked agendas dictated by the gun lobby who has bought and paid for them.

I don’t know man, it’s just all too far gone. Too late to come back from where we now are to think we can be where we want to be, especially since our kids are growing up right now. We don’t have time to wait around, fingers crossed, working toward small change that’s not enough to guarantee their safety.

We’re currently looking at the UK. You guys?
